About Me

Hi! I am a photographer who has resided in the Acton Boxboro (Massachusetts) area for nearly 25 years. My passion for photography was fueled as a college student in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Canada) , where I used my beloved Nikon FM and a darkroom to capture and share … a ‘spirited’ campus life. Since that time, I’ve fully embraced digital photography and imaging … the result of being immersed in the high technology industry and the start-up world for decades.

My artistic style is to use natural light as the foundation of a great photograph. I believe “light is Mother Nature’s paintbrush”. My photo expeditions often include rising at 3:30am to ensure I am in the right place as a new day awakens and unveils its glory.

I’ve traveled extensively worldwide in the pursuit of memorable photographs. I've been fortunate to photograph many of earth’s most beautiful destinations including the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Tuscany, Africa (the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Kilimanjaro), Bangkok, Rome, Florence, the Acropolis, the Great Wall, the Taj Mahal, the Great Barrier Reef, numerous US National Parks such as Zion and Joshua Tree, the Canadian Rockies … and spectacular New England!

I am an avid golfer and have combined my love of golf and art by photographing numerous golf courses in New England, and world-renowned golf courses such as Augusta National (home of The Masters), Pinehurst, Mauna Kea (Hawaii) and Lahinch (Ireland).

I am fortunate my work has been published by Sports Illustrated, Boston Magazine, New England Bride, New England Golf Monthly, Commonwealth Golf, Boston Herald, North Shore Magazine, RMS Media Group (luxury goods) and GateHouse Media (the largest publisher of daily newspapers in the US).

I am honored and humbled that I have received awards and recognition from numerous international photo competitions including the International Color Awards, International Photography Awards, Black & White Spider Awards, Monovisions Photography Awards, Monochrome Awards and Fine Art Photography Awards. The juries of the International Color Awards, International Photography Awards and Black & White Spider Awards included some of the most influential names in the industry, representing many of the world’s leading art galleries.

I am a member of a 150-person biking group called Team Lick Cancer (TLC). The teams rides in the Pan Mass Challenge, a 2-day 192-mile bike-a-thon to raise money for cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In 2019, the team raised over $1,000,000 in donations. I’ve provided my photography at several art exhibitions and fundraisers, donating 100% of the proceeds to the PMC.
